Can you visit an embassy

If the person needing the emergency travel document is under 16, a parent or guardian should apply on their behalf. You will need to obtain an exit visa issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department when leaving the country on an emergency travel document issued in Vietnam.

This can take up to 5 working days to obtain. Please contact us as soon as possible if you are travelling in a week or less. If you are travelling in more than 3 weeks, check if you can get a new or replacement passport in time to travel.
